got my new wheels! Thanks all for your feeedback. They look really great. Antera 309 18x10 rear, 18x8 front, with Yokohama sport tires. Will post pictures soon. Have the original wheels and custom 1 inch adapters for them for sale, if anyone is interested. Priced very reasonable! |

I have 2 sets of 355 Challenge wheels for sale if anyone is interested. They are not cosmetically perfect (nothing that a new coat of paint won't cure) but they are perfectly straight. Offers around $2,000 will take a set. You can contact me via email. |

David; I am waiting for my spacers. I will show pictures of the before and after on this site. It should give you a similar look. A friend of mine has 19inch Renntech Race wheels. These are super light 22Lbs wheels. I am not sure if they will fit a Ferrari though. Increasing your diameter will reduce the height of the tire and will make the drive rougher. I am not sure if you want to go ahead and do that. For looks the spacers should do really well. |

the kevlar seats are comfortable once you're sitting in them, but (as usual with bucket seats) they are not easy to get in/out of. Bonus: love it when girls with short dresses get in the car. exhaust: nothing could be lighter than the challenge exhaust. It has no muffler, basically just a glass pack. wheels: the Speedlines look best, but $$$$. I had rear spacers built (1 inch), this will give you the same look as the spyder. |

Can anyone tell me if the Tubi exhaust is lighter than stock or even the challenge exhaust. The original wheels are nicer. Just having some cheap fun. What I really wanted to do is try to find a set of rear wheels from a 348 Spyder or SS. The wheels have a bigger offset and fill the wheel well much better. Here's one last one with 355 wheels:

My .02 cents. The original wheels in the "before" picture still look the best to me. |

Hey Reiner, how comfortable are the Carbon Kevlar seats? Also, here's a set HRE model 545 on the 348. I event painted on some red calipers. You can also check out HRE's website. They have a "Wheel Machine" program that shows you different wheels on cars. They use a 355 as there Ferrari model: http://www.hrewheels.com/Showroom/ferrari1.htm

Dave, on the weight topic, I have the challenge exhaust on my car, which saved about 40 pounds! Then, the car came with really nice superlight carbon/kevlar seats that look like stock Ferrari (I think they are the SS seats)... fat girls will no longer fit! (not that fat girls ever got a ride in my car anyways)... |

I found the following wheels I like: HRE 547, 647 Kinesis Supercup Momo Racer KAtana Stryke 18 Speedline 1908 will call some wheel warehouses here in LA, seems like LA is the capital of "bling bling" and "dubs" wheels... anyways, have to agree that the Fikse look is not really what I want, I'd rather stay with the 5-spoke appearance a la Speedline. |

David, I've always been a fan of HRE wheels and they're less busy and more classy looking. Maybe you can cut and paste again and see. |

Recaro seats r ridiculously expensive, OMP & Sparco r just as good & a lot less $ |

Thanks guys, I would have to agree. The wheels are a bit busy, but I've seen them before on an rx7 and they looked pretty good. Not going to get them, just thought it would be fun to put them on the car without buying. William, I was also thinking about replacing the original seats (save them for later) with some new light weight seats. Has anyone had experience with Recaro seats? I'm looking to save as much weight as possible around the car....thats also why I'm interested in some wheels. I've even put myself on a diet!! |

I wasn't going to say anything -- but since Chuck broke the ice, I have to agree with him. The Fiske wheels are just too "busy" looking on such a clean, monochromatic piece of coachwork IMHO (something I don't like about most BBS wheels too). |

David, those things are dreadful looking on your beautiful 348. (At first I thought you really changed the wheels, then realized it was just CG.) |

Reiner...are you stuck with wanting to get Speedlines or would other rims do as well. I found these and they look pretty nice. They're pretty expensive as well but can probably be found for a little cheaper than speedlines. Check it out. http://www.fikse.com/wheelsoncars/ferrari_355.html |

David, havent decided on a seat yet but I'd like to find a lightweight adjustable seat. Problem with OMP is that the seat back rake isnt enough for a 512TR so u have to lift the front way up. Maybe if I can find a carbon fiber seat out of a Porsche 962 that would b cool |

William - on a side note - what type of seat(s) are you going to put in your 512 racer? |

Ferrari of Washington wanted $7000 for a set of Speedlines. I've actually been looking at some BBS LM's. Trying to get some pricing on those. |

Do you guys have any used speedlines or a better source for new ones? 1000$/wheel is a bit pricy! I'd be interested in the 355 wheel type, 18x8/10... |
