Saint goban and Sigla. I'm bringing it to Ferrari of Houston Saturday. They have your name and number. They've been talking to FNA and have been assured they will get one that fits. If not, I think you may be getting a call. Kelly |

Hi. This is a good one ! Seems there is little point in me measuring one of our pieces as the problem is the rake of the glass not the size. What make is the glass you've fitted etc ? ! Cheers

Well exsitng glass in it fits perfectly. The word I have heard from numerous people is that there is a lot of bad galss that was produce last year, and it is still out in the market. Even the supplier confirmed that the glass is bad. We just got to get a good one. The glass sits on the metal in the middle and does not go down to the A pillar. So, you cannnot bend it. it would brake. I could understand it were short or long, maybe we could sand it down or fill in where it was short. But, the hole point is, the glasss is not round enough to fit in the frame. I just got an e-mail from Steve at Ferrari of Houston, and he said they had one done one that did the same thing. Except it was the drivers side. So, it is not the car. Thanks Kelly |

no 2 308 windshields fit quite the same, especialy if it's an S. the bodies were jig/hand welded/assembled and no 2 are exactly the same. and the A pillars move all over the place just from use and especialy on cars that have been hit. I'm not quite sure what the pics are showing or that I might be missing, but if it's the gap I see that looks normal to me..of course it's hard to make out minute details (for me) in the pics. |

Kelly have you considered a custom glass shop to have one specially made for your car? There is a shop in Opolousis (not sure about spelling but I'm sure you know what I mean) that makes windshields for street rods and such. It wouldn't be original, but might save you some headaches. Maybe worry about getting Ferrari glass next time, which shouldn't be long on the roads around here. |

Well, the car has been at AutoGlass Of New Orleans for 6 weeks. I brought her home yesterday. What was supposed to be a one day job of a new windhsield has turned into the biggest heart ache I have had senn purchasing my beautiful car. If you remeber this is the great $4,000 windshield from last March's post The first one was cracked, the next two fit the same and were different brands. One Saint Goban, the other Sigla. We changed distributors and it got worse. Now I either bringing the car to Houston or Atlanta. Both are concerned that they will loose thier butts in shipping cost. They are contacting FNA to see what can be done about the shipping and trying different glass. I've been told by several sources that it is not my car, it just bad glass. Here's the pics.
