Phil, thanks fot the info. like I said in the other topic, I want to do a complete tubi headers, cat-bys, and exhaust. I assume that they do then mount properly to the cylinder heads then, and all I would need to do is a custom mount for the silencer. Could I modifly the euro tubi's mount to make it mount up, or is welding the only option? thnks for your help. |

You'll need to fit the entire system from cylinder heads to tailpipe tips. And, you'll need to cut off and re-weld different brackets for the silencer box where it meets the chassis under the boot floor. The US and OZ an SWISS cars have the 1-4 bank manifold join into the 5-8 bank on the rh side, and then go through one big cat with a single inlet to the silencer.......where as the EURO,s go their separate ways until the very end. Most of my time has been on Euro cars, but just did a clutch job on a OZ car, and couldn't believe just how gutless the thing was. A Euro 308 would blow it's doors off. Surprised it had enough grunt to wear out it's clutch!! Remember though, that US has low (9.3?) compression ration, where Euro has high (9.8?), so you'll never get all the gain. |

Is it possible to interchange the exhaust headers? Do they mount in approx. the same manner/occupy the same space/etc? This thread is an off-shot from my tubi question in General. |
