Mark:
My fan did the same thing. And I bought a OEM fan blade to fix the problem. While I was under the car I raalized that if I put the same fan back-in that the same thing might happen again when the car bottoms out, so I replaced the 11' OEM fan with a 9" fan assy from a wrecking yard. (I took it out of a Fiat X-19) The OEM fans are made by Spal, and when I was at the Long Beach Auto parts swap meet ther was a guy selling all sizes of Spal fans. My recommendation would be to replace it with a smaller Spal fan. You could probably find one on the web.
Also, the refrigerent tempature sensing switch became inop as a result of locking the motor-up. I did as I have heard others do--wired the switch out of the circuit.

Hi Mark. Some guys here may be able to identify that part for you. If not, contact Steve Ahlgrim
(T. Rutlands, Atlanta, GA) at 770-4938852, or Jeff Howe (Ferrari UK) at [email protected]. They specialize in new (and used) Ferrari parts and are very helpful.

Hope to see you at the next FCA-MO event in STL.

Regards,
Ron

My 1986 328GTS Condensor fan casing broke. My guess it broke when I hit a bump as there is a hole leading to the ground right underneath it. This must have happened before as the previous owner repaired the casing at one time. My motor is now fried due to it jamming on the broken casing. Needless to say, I am looking for a whole new assembly. The owners sight refers to "SEE MCP251 FOR PART NUMBER". I have no idea what this means. If anyone has fitted any aftermart fans I would like to know this as well. Any help appreciated. Thanks.....
