Leatherique's Rejuvinator Oil & Prestine Clean
www.leatherique.com

Search the Tech Q&A Archives. Leatherique is generally highly regarded. I used their products to redye my seats & maintain them afterwards. Great stuff. Non-glossy satin, just like original.

CAVEAT: One very vocal F*Chat member had problems with them earlier this year. You'll probably come across that long thread. IMHO he is an exception as I and many other members over the years have had very positive relationships with Leatherique.

They are a very small family business, so if they take a family vacation or go to participate in a major car show, they may close up shop for a week.

BTW, the Rolls & Jag crowds are also Leatherique users.

I wrote on a thread before about my converstaion with an ex connolly employee.

The hide food was made at a time when connolly were using solvent based top coats on the leather and they never changed the formulation to allow its use for water based top coats which they all are now.

It is not reccommended to use any petroleum based product on your leather if its under say 6 years old as all the lacquers were water based after that time

There are numerous thread on the subject in the archives...obviously sun/heat are the major problems with shrinkage. Keeping the car out of direct sun and using a windshield block would be helpful. Many folks like the Leatherique brand of products...

Being new to the board I did a search for pointers on leather care, especailly the dash. If I missed something I apologize. What routine do owners use to maintain the leather on their seats and dash? I have purchased a product from Connolly called Hide Care. Does anyone use this? Tips? Other products? I would like to stay away from the shined shoes look. Suggestions on how to keep your seats and dash looking new and avoid shrinkage would be appreciated.
