bite me! JV ain't going to have to pay a subscription fee. However, in return I get a 5% commission on all work he generates from FC. Also, 50% from FT and LT revenues for spending several years and loosing money and time to find the best formula (topics, software, ad in Forza) for JV to copy everything exactly overnight. You know, I'm proud and can walk tall being where I am though. I accomplished something. |

Hubert, are you suggesting that I do this? Hmmm, I don't think so. After way too many years of working on brit crap, without the correct tools of course, that was defective the day it left the factory, I made a vow not to ever get near the Maranello with anything resembling a tool. Last year, I turned the big 50 and decided that it was time to realize that there are a few things that I'm very good at and a lot of things that I'm horrible at. Nope, the world will be a better place if I spend my time making money so that I can pay JR's outrageous fees, which he justifies due to his high marketing costs on FC, ha! But I do appreciate the tip. Now, if I go back in time and get a Daytona, I fear that I will have to modify my position. I have owned enough vintage motorcycles to know that wrenching is part of the bonding process that is required to keep a 30-year old car going. That is, if you know where are the bits and pieces go and what they do, you can hear their story before they start singing their death chant, well... at least sometimes you can. Thanks, Dale

Dale--- there's usually a little cord that leads from teh seat belt "buckle" to a wire that runs from the center console ; there should be a connector where the wire meets the cord... take out your seat, and see if it's come unplugged, or even torn... if that connections disrupted you'll get a seat belt light. I'd guess the seat bolts to be b/w 14mm and 17mm, deep socket with a 3 " extension should do the trick. Just make sure you don't bing the associated motors for the auto seat when you move it full forward, or full back. -hubert |

Wiring? Look? JR, you must be confused. I'll gladly fuk with the IRS anyday of the week before I'd get within 10 feet of this car with any kind of tool. I know my limitations... So does this mean that I'd have to pay you to fix this? What happened to free love? LOL! I'll call you sometime next week. BTW, did you go to the arty farty show at Rice? Dale ps I thought you were gonna post some mo pics in the Ferrari Babes thread...

Dale, sorry but I'll have to charge a nonminal fee to cover my upcoming membership dues, so that I can continue to afford to help fchatters with free tips. { } It's a simple matter to track down the seat belt buzzer relay and unplug it. They are normally under the dash in the steering wheel area. If not there look in the OM for location. Have you looked under the seats for foriegn objects that might be interfering with the seat belt warning system wiring ? |

Can I get some that free advice that Rob sez that you give so freely? ROTFLMAO! Okay, here's the situation. Yesterday driving the Maranello the damn seat belt thingie comes on and starts beeping. Nothing I do seems to work. I fasten all belts, including the passenger. I turn the motor off and wait a while before restarting. Nada, the damn thing comes back on. What more? Well, a hard right turn really sets it off. No sh*t Sherlock. And get this, if I unfasten the driver's belt, the damn thing stops beeping! Actually I don't care about fixing the warning light and sound. What I want to know is how big a deal is it to unplug the damn thing? Or, at a minimum, there must be a small speaker somewhere. Can you just unplug the speaker? From annoyed in Tejas! Thanks |
