Thanks again, I'll have them try the relay. I thought maybe that was the case.

Matt,

Similar problem happened to me a few weeks ago. I was driving the car around town and then it died on me. Total loss of power. It didn't turn over or even feed any power when I had the ignition on auxillary. After a few attempts, power came back on and I dove off. A few miles later the same thing. After the 3rd time, power never came back. I had it towed to my Ferrari mechanic. We thought it was a faulty ignition and he ordered the same ignition piece. When we looked at the car, the actual problem was a fried relay to the main circuit board.

A $25 cost versus $345 for the new ignition piece. The car starts and runs as great as before. If you want, you can call him: John Tirrell, IFS (Independent Ferrari Service) 1-508-238-4224. Tell him I referred you.

Still sounds to me like a loose (burnt?) connector on the relay/fuse panel. Under braking, something shifted.

I posted on or about the 4th regarding the 87 328GTS I purchase din the UK. Here's an update, I moved it up to the top to find it easier. After speaking with Ferrari of Atlanta, they believed that it was either the ignition or the Clifford Alarm. My mechanic, put in a new ignition piece (the back part that turns whenthe key is turned and stats the car, and removed the clifford alarm - the cra then ran and he took off. Later in the day, the shipping co wentto move it, and when they hit the brakes the car died and went back to previous symptoms. Any ideas?
