Brian, thanks for the effort but that is the wrong mirror. It must be the 'upper' mounted style. Mine has a bracket at the bottom for swivel mount.

Frank, I thought FOD already did this for me, without success, but I will try it myself as you suggest. I have nothing to lose but more time on this wild goose chase. Geez, what a hassle. Unbelieveable.

Jim

Jim,

Here are some photos. On close inspection it looks as if it used to be red at one time and then was painted yellow. Also the plug is missing.

Jim, if you will e-mail all the Ferrari dealers in the world as listed on the Ferrari Spa website you will find your mirror. I have found several no longer made parts that way over the years. It's just sitting on a dealers shelf somewhere waiting for someone to buy it.

I contacted GT and they don't have anything. Apparently, there is a 'low' mirror and a 'high' mirror, and some are supplied by factory with particular color, which accounts for different part numbers. Mine, of course, is the low type. Rossa Corsa is the color. I put my name on their waiting list. Thanks for the tip Russ.

Larry, I contacted Safelite (a dealer of burco) and they said they don't list Ferrari and to their knowledge don't carry any mirror that is green/blue glass type, just standard mirror glass. Do you know of an OEM brand (maybe Fiat?)that they might carry that is same as what Ferrari uses? I can drive to the warehouse to take a look, but it is an hour away. Thanks for any info.

Brian, thanks. I will look for it. Jim

Go online to www.burcoinc.com. They sell replacement mirrors and heating element. Get a oversize mirror and have glass shop cut it to your patters. The heating elemets can be trimed to fit your mirror. They have distributers throughout the usa

Jim,

The part number on the bottom of the mirror reads 41431. Not the same number but it is a right hand side.

FYI, the way I found the no longer in production parking lamps for my BB512i was to e-mail every authorized Ferrari dealer in the world. I received a response from the Ferrari dealer in South Africa who had some on the shelf. I bought all he had. You can go to the Ferrari Spa web site and get all the authorized dealers' e-mail addresses.

I have a spare right hand mirror for the TR but I'm usure what year it came off of. I was getting ready to put it on ebay. I could see if it has a part number if that will help.

Hi Jim,

Unfortunately we do not have stock of the mirror.
What's the chassis number for your car?
If it is up to #78847 then it is still available from the Factory and FNA have one in stock...
If it is after #78848 then it is no longer available from the Factory and there is no stock showing on the world wide dealer system. Sorry!

Best
Mark

Hello Jim...you might also give www.allferrariparts.com a try. They have a parts list search engine where you can search by part # or by description. Try entering "mirror" in the description field, and it should yield a list of all available mirrors including many for the TR's along with part #'s and prices. Hope this helps.
