I did the same thing John. My neighbor is a contractor for a demo company. He hooked me up with a ton of carpet tiles. Looks great, and is easy to clean/repair. Jeremy |

Maybe I'm getting old, but I carpeted my garage with Modular Carpet (carpet tiles) - very cosy to lie on, easy to clean, easy to replace if you damage one. I am in the carpet business so that probably influenced my decision! Next step is to have a Cavallino insert done! |

As soon as i closed on my new house i painted to floor in an Epoxy paint and it looks great and is easy to clean on spills. One plus is that it does not get damaged by Brake Fluid or Nitromethane. My only problem with laying down on the job there is the fact that there is tons of small metal chips all over the place from my metal machine tools and welders, That no mater how well i clean it they are still around trying to get under my skin. |

Well, I just keep a layer of cardboard down on the floor. When it gets dirty I replace it. We always seem to have a big piece from something or other that just came in. I keep a couple of bathroom mats to lie on, but mostly just use them while I'm making sure the lift pads are on the correct lift points. I hope to clean the whole garage out, etch & paint the floor with a tan 2-part epoxy in the not too distant future. My dream would be to lay down WilsonArt engineered flooring, but I can't afford $2Gs or so. My wife wants to replace the kitchen cabinets. I'm strongly encouraging her to go ahead. I've put in my dibs for the old ones(Heheh)....

My garage is no shrine either. Dave, the throw rug you use; would that be, by any chance, what I use? I use the throw rug on the gararge floor by the entry door to the den. Barry |

I just use an old "throw rug" when I need to lay down and work on the car...it is portable too, and works out in the driveway as well... :-) But I bet your floor does look great, please post a pic. Dave the cheapskate... |

Ive just applied an excellant flooring system in my Garage Called "FloorMaster Garage Flooring Kit, all the tools and paints along with three colour packs were all neatly packaged in a handy application container. Now the Car looks great on the new red floor covering and i dont get filthy laying down to clean those difficult parts of my 360 Spider. |
