I bought STJ shocks with external rebound adjust and they were $450 each. The springs were about $50 a pair. Without the adjuster, they are $350 each and I think penske quoted me about the same. I think steel body bilsteins can be had from about $200 each, but alum is about $350 like everyone elses if I recall. I bought mine from AMF motorsports, inc. 603-256-8142. There are other model shock that are more money with more external adjustment, but I couldn't see spending the extra money. I normally drive on the street, where all the adjustments are pretty much wasted, but being able to add some rebound for high speed use is nice, so this was really all I needed. It really is a whole different car, I would never go back. I think Rob handle the bilsteins as well as a custom full race shock.

Mark, thanks for the reply. What was the approx. cost if you don't mind me asking? And, where did you get them?

Thanks!

I had a set of Ohlins made for my 308 and am very happy with them. Penske and bilstien are also good. Rexrcr (Rob Schermerhorn)does custom shocks as well, you may want to contact him.

Hey guys, we recently discussed TR suspension, although I'm not sure if we specifically talked about this or not.

What shocks would you recommend replacing the OEMs with on a car that will see maybe 1 or 2 track events/yr but will be driven spiritedly.

Koni makes their Sports for the TR, but I was wondering if anyone has run a coil over unit such as a Carrera or a Penske?

The suspension is apart right now and new shocks are needed...it seems wrong to replace with new stock units if we've already got a Brembo F50 brake kit and 315/35 ZR17 tires on 12 inch wide rear wheels. :-)

TIA,
Lashdeep
