Can you still GET DS11 pads? My understanding is that they stopped making them years ago because of the asbestos content. Damn shame...they're the best all round pad I've ever used.

Terry
Bill Badurski indicated he used his Daytona on the track and with an appropriate pad and fluid choice, did not get brake fade. I don't have the exact details anymore, but given they used to race Daytonas, a decent pad ought to be available. I think Bill used a Ferrodo (DS21?) with AP550.

There are any number of places you can send your rotors to be slotted or drilled....

Does anyone out there make aftermarket rotors that will fit a Daytona? I would love to get a good set of slotted rotors for the front, I think they could help the fade issue a good bit in conjunction with better pads and fluid.

Hmmmmmm...i thought you were following me! If you find that the rear return valve is faulty, just pretend there's nothing wrong and don't tell me about it.

STOP FOLLOWING ME PETER. I'M DOING IT AS FAST AS I CAN!!!!!

Seriously now. Peter, (said 355CH owner), I've checked about half the wiring I need to, and found nothing so far. But I will either fix it, or give the reason for it's behaviour when you collect it. I hope I'm wrong, but my hunch is that the rear return valve may be faulty. I need to drive the car to continue, so shox on next.

What FIX? Have you found something or do you just mean you'll try to fix it when it's back on the road?

Champion effort Malc!
Diamond geezer, an' all that!
Thanks mate.
32 minutes. I reckon it would have taken me an hour including washing my hands, a cup of tea and biscuit!

I prefer to keep to the minimums...Daytona's can do over 180mph, but only get 2 hard stops with GOOD brakes!

355CH awaiting shox, so will wait until on the road again to finish the fix. I've traced some of the circuitry though, and all appears well so far.

Phil,

Front - New 32.00 mm Min. 30.20 mm
Rear - New 22.00 mm Min. 20.70 mm

As you know as long as the car isn't being tracked you can go a "little" below these figures

MW

PS How did you get on with the 355CH brakes ?

Hi all

Can anyone help me with the minimum thickness for Daytona discs front and rear. I'm sure this forum will be quicker than me finding the book and looking it up!!!

I've got 19mm Left rear, 21mm Right rear and 29mm both fronts. Looks like they were skimmed during a restoration...tut tut

Maybe a price too...Jeff/Malcolm??
