Down low on the left hand side of the transmission. 12mm hex key socket required, and short sharp shock technique, as they tend to self tighten. There's a dipstick on the bottom of the cap. Drive the car, get it well warm. Check the level within 5 minutes of stopping. Just drop the plug back in without screwing it tight, and use the marks to set it to 1/2 way full. You must drive the car and not just warm the engine. the gearbox has a pump to circulate the gear oil around the heat exchanger and back again, which needs the wheels turning to operate. |

'89 Mondial t Where is the plug to check the transmission fluid level? The manual shows one, but I have not yet figured out where it is. Anybody out there know? Thanks. |
