That eBay rebuild kit is missing the o-rings that go between calipers halves, the seal for the e-brake lever, and the metal cap that goes on the bottom of the e-brake lever shaft. I ended up having to buy 2 rebuild kits to get all the seals and o-rings I needed.

I rebuilt one of my rear brake calipers a few months ago and fully documented the procedure here:

The ATE online catalog, http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/com/en/ate/ate/themes/catalogue/folder_en.html
lets you look up the caliper seal kits and other parts by vehicle make and model (java required). (Hint: don't bother filling in year or HP, etc, on the search page -- with the make and model showing, just hit the "search" button.)

If you click on the part number, you can list "vehicle links", which shows what vehicles they list the part for.

For example, according to the vehicle links, the rear caliper kit for the QV/3.2 is also used in the Ford Fiesta, Ford Ka, and Mazda 121, according to the links. The front kit is also linked to several 5 and 6 series BMWs and most of the Saab 9000s.

The catalog has no listing for the 308 other than the QV, though. Did the early carb'd 308s use ATE calipers?

It also only lists rear caliper kits for the Alfa GTV-6. The Spider and Alfetta GT caliper kits are a different part number from the QV/328.

I don't know what, if anything that proves. But you can burn some time playing with the web site.

My understanding is 85 Alfa Romeo GTV's used the same ATE calipers. 48MM front and 38MM rear.

Carpartsamerica.com has the front #KC-15000 Caliper Kit for $12.18 and the rear #KC40002 for $11.26.

Arie: You don't need to post these things in both GENERAL and TECHNICAL, but here's my answer again:

Regarding compatible parts, I captured this post from a message that must now be buried in the archives. I have never heard it verified nor negated.
