Paul-

You're very industrious.

I said no, because for the price, I'd just as soon buy them. But, if you have to buy a complete gasket set just to get the cam cover gaskets, then I would make them myself.

Heat would be an issue to most rubber.

Do you think it is possible to make your own out of rubber material instead of cork for a better seal?

Arie these gaskets are pretty simple to make yourself, I just made a set for my 328 and so far no leaks. I bought a few sheets of gasket paper at a car parts place for a few dollars a sheet and traced around the original ones and cut them out easily with an X-Acto knife. I only saw the complete seal sets for sale which was pretty expensive, and I only wanted the cover gaskets. I plan to make any other gaskets I need also. It's not rocket science, just get the correct gasket material of the same thickness. Keep all the original ones you remove as patterns for all future ones you cut, that way you know you have the shape right and can cut them in advance.

No, but they're not that expensive.

Is this something a person can make themselves?
