Thanks Dave, I'll drop them a line too. No biggie for it to be out for two weeks. The car will only get a minimum amount of driving in the winter because I'm in MA and I won't be driving it in the snow or on salty roads. I'll just get it out for regular exercise. I'll be doing a bunch of work this winter on the interior (new radio, repairs to some electricals, etc) so I'll have the dash apart for a few weeks anyway. Best, Jonathan |

Jonathon, I have used Palo Alto with good results on three occaisions. You might do a "google" search for an outfit in Florida (I think) that Karl Troy of European Road and Racing uses...they may be a bit faster at turn around times...remember, you can STILL drive the car without a speedo...if just for a few days... |

Hi Everyone, I sent an e-mail to Palo Alto Speedometer and they got back promptly saying to send them the speedo with a letter listing the issues to be addressed. They would give me a free estimate, and call me to discuss the repair. They said the average repair runs about $225+ shipping depending on the parts needed, with an average turn around of 10 days. Thought you might like to know! I'll probably send it to them in the winter when the car is not being used as much. Their website is http://www.paspeedo.com Best, Jonathan |

Paul, Thanks for the offer, but mine is a US spec speedo marked in miles and I will probably have it repaired and keep the milage accurate. Jonathan |

Sounds like the electronic splitter is shot. Not unusual. Double check good connection at speedo drive. If it OK send speedo to Palo Alto...Around $235./2 wks turnaround. PLUS the please of removal/re-installation. |

Call Palo Alto Speedometer and ask their opinion. Google search engine for their website and phone number. See the "308 speedometer" thread, sounds like it is the speedo that needs fixing. |

Hi Guys, My 308 speedo is weird. The odometer works fine, but the speedo is only semi-working. The needle moves to indicate that the car is moving, but when I stop, the needle always stops in a different place. Sometimes it's near 0 MPH, other times its 180 MPH, sometimes somewhere down at the bottom pointing to nothing. It's like the movement is loose in there or something. Anyone have any advice? Thanks Jonathan |
