I have a 512TR with no cats and a racing exhaust system from V-12 Engineering (primarily a Lambo shop) in Gilroy, CA.

When I get it back from the shop I will post a pic.

This system is really unbelievable. It taks off weight and adds about 28-30 hp to the wheels.

As billy said, when idling or at a loaf, it is very quiet. But when you put the pedal down it just screams. In the only time I was able to take it out, my wife and I went through a tunnel and I floored it. It was so loud she had to put her hands over her ears.

You won't regret it.

Thanks Everyone for the input...I kinda figured it would be nice, but wanted first hand opinions. I'll keep everyone posted as to my success or not.

And....you're getting all the weight off the rear of the car...Where it really needs it the most!

I have the borla set up which has straight pipes and 4 what looks like motorcycle slip on for mufflers. It truly is a work of art. At idle the car is silent but once you step on it a bit it is one of the greatest sounding engine you can possible imagine. My advice is go for it, not to mention how much weight you will be saving as well as how much power you will be freeing up.

It should sound somewhat like a flat-12 F1 motor, but a little deeper. (as that's what the 512's motor IS!)

Thoughts: DO IT DOUG!!!

Can't wait to hear how it sounds! (possibly try withought the resonators too, sometimes they can muck things up.)

Best!
Ben.

Bill Badurski had a picture of a system.....it used 2 small "Corvette" resonators.

Maybe we can have a trunk behind the engine after all!!!!!!LOL

I'm looking at buying an exhaust system for my TR that has some baffles, but no mufflers. I know this will be loud, but I don't know what other characteristics it will have, like resonance or vibrations? The system comes from each header and Y's into a sinlge pipe, and then splits again into two tips and out the back. Does anyone have any experience they would like to share about Testarossas with pipes like this? Have you heard a similar system at a track event or....? Oh, the system also has a cross-over pipe mating both sides of the exhaust. It looks well done to me. Any thoughts? Thanks.
