Mine were very dirty also, probably from never being cleaned. I turned on the headlights so they were popped up; then shut off the master switch, they'll stay up, but without power. Then, if I remember you can remove the body colored bezel held on by four phillips head screws. Once the bezel is off, the glass assy has quick release type plastic clips that will pop off by depressing a little tagger. It's a little tricky working the glass out of the opening, but it can be done. Mine look much better after a good cleaning. |

Guys, I hardly use my main head lights. I use my fog lights which have high beam on them and work really well, plus this stops any damage to the main headlight lenses.. |

john, I haven't had to do this yet, so I can't tell you how... but just a word of caution. They are halogen bulbs, so if you do take them out, don't touch the bulbs themselves. The oil on your hands may cause the bulbs to explode the next time they are turned on. This was known to happen on other halogens I've dealt with. good luck! |

Hi - I searched the archives, but didn't find an answer. Here's the question. How do you change a bulb in the healight unit? I don't want to upgrade bulbs. The main reason for this is to clean the inside of the headlight lens. Is it a sealed unit, or can you change/remove the bulbs individually and get in there to clean things out? There is a huge amount of haze that is inside my headlights, and cleaning it out sure couldn't hurt. Any help would be great! Thanks - John |
