kevin - if you don't have the books, you should at least get on the owners site http://www.owners.ferrari.com and get a PDF of your owners manual.

Kevin, they are in fact all Emergency release levers. They open your gas filler cap and bonnet. Go ahead and give them a tug, no harm no foul. I do not have my manual in front of me so I can not remember which one does what.

No, I didn't get the hand books, I was hoping to come across some that somebody kept after selling their car. But I did buy a car with all records always maintained by Ferrari of Houston Tx.

Kevin: These are backup/emergency release levers for the front trunk compartment, in case the main release lever fails. There are separate levers for the two latches. There are also backup systems for the gas lid release and the engine lid release (at least on the 348, same for the 355?). Do you have an Owners Handbook?

I was installing a radio in my 97 F355 this afternoon, and I noticed a small black handle just under the dash near each front wheel well area. there is one on the drivers and passenger side. It is designed to be pulled with both your pointing and middle finger.

What are they there for? I wasn't sure so I didn't dare give them a pull. But I'm very intrigued...
