I appreciate the info guys! This does appear to be a really good option. Billy, the kit is designed for Bosch injectors. That is why I thought this might work. I agree that the 100-125 level is just right. That will be just enough to make the car a real beast in the 1/4. I am thinking the extra horses should put the car solidly into the low 13's or maybe even the high 12's. With the top end performance the car already has it will make a nice combination. I am in Georgia so I guess we will have to work it out on line. Do you think the kit will go in without much fabrication? BTW I do have some minor experience with NOS myself. I installed a 200hp system on a prostreet car a few years back that I raced NHRA Div2 with. I remember all the other racers telling me I was nuts, that I would trash my engine. They were all quite wrong. I raced that car for years and never had a single problem with the engine from the nitrous. I know it can be used safely. I would definately appreciate any advice you might offer on this subject. What do you think it will do to the cars performance? Have you finished the exhuast project you were working on? Might be a nice addition to this project. |

well, on diablos, my method is tried and true, with no problems on several cars in years of useage. Direct port will make more power though, but it will come on much harder, thereby producing more stress. |

Charles, You need to mix apples with apples. Where do you live? I would be willing to help with such a project. You do have the 1" if NOS is correct that is all the clearance you need. You would need to add 4 1" spacers to the fuel rail so that you can bolt the fuel rail to the stock locations. That is an easy spacer deal you can get from any hardware store. The NOS systm is what you need for 1)to build max power, 2)the 348 manifold was never designed to flow a wet mixture. With this etup you can kill 355's because the same 100 or 75 extra hp come with torque over the entire powerband so you have more useable power overall. You will surprise some 355's. You can go with a challenge tube eshaust and build a back shelf ala the 308gtb/s rear bonet to hold the NO tank. The NOS fuel/no jet goes in betwee the standard manifold boss and the injector. These are standard size bosch so the NOS one should fit if it works with a bosch injector body. I would not do what Allan suggests becasue you can't flow a wet mixture in a dry manifold without danger unless you keep the power down so then what is the point. I'd go for 100 to 125 hp. I'm in So Cal if you want a hand. I've done lots of NO but not this style of direct port. I have direct ported and injector plated to many cars. |

Use a simple dry kit, like i did on my Diablo. Then any v8 kit will work for you. You just position the nozzles behind the throttle body, and i prob wouldnt use more than a 75 shot. |

I have been looking for a way to put nitrous on my 348 and I just happened to find an interesting possibility on Holley's website. It claims to be able to give horsepower increases from 100-300hp. I was wondering if this kit could work on the 348 so I emailed thier tech section and asked if this kit would work. Here is the response I got from the them. "The 08008 Noszle kit is a universal style kit which retails for $1500. It should fit your car but since we have not done it we cannot say for sure. You will need to make sure you can move your fuel rail up about an inch and you will probably have to do some custom fabrication to make it fit." This kit could dramatically improve the cars 0-60 times so it is an iteresting option. The question is will it fit on the engine. I am curious if anyone else has considered this option.
