The UK importer of Redline is Delta Oil Ltd, Grantham. Tel 01476 861195. They're very helpful. As the oil is a US product it only comes in quarts, not litres. I noticed the same typo error in the handbook so converted the litres into quarts and ordered 5 quarts. By the way, Delta offered me 20% Ferrari Owners Club discount and free carriage! The cost was �77.04. I originally asked for 75W90NS but they recommended Heavy Shockproof as this contains the correct additives for the diff. It goes in next week so you may want to wait to hear the outcome before you buy some. |

It's also misprinted in some of the TR OMs as "17 pints" -- should be ".17 pints" (or really more like ".17 pints minimum" as the extreme excess will overflow to the main reservoir as TomD mentioned). |

are you sure you are not missing the decimal in your reading of the handbook. search the archives it describes in detail how to fill one and overflow to the other, good luck |

Hello everyone - can someone help me please!
I would like to change the gear oil in my 1987 328 using Redline recommended in previous threads.
How much oil do I need to order? My handbook states 4ltrs for the gearbox and '17pints' for the clutch housing- I assume this is a misprint.
Also, can you overfill the clutch housing or is there a drain hole into the gearbox to maintain the correct level?
Finally - anyone know the cheapest place to purchase the oil in the UK?
