But the loose end is hidden away inside the windings when done correctly...so there is no need for any cutting......? |

No cutting required on any. The clips go round the pipe twice. The loose tail then goes UNDER the pin, fold it back through the split in the pin and push it through about 40mm. Then wind it up all tight in a direction so that the loose tail is drawn inside the windings and the strap stays flat to the pipe. Position the pins heads off to one side to avoid rubbing the closed bonnet and place the two clips in line with each other. Concours score...perfect 10! |

The "concours" correct way is to cut the excess (per FOW) |

For mine I cut it so that you have about 3" extra after installation. |

I do not have the correct hose clamps on the hose of the airbox on my 308QV. I ordered the correct clamps and they appear to be about 6"-8" longer than I need. My question is what do I do with the 6"-8" of excess? Do I cut it, wrap it around the hose, or curl it up? Ken |
