Ted--the tach signal on electromotive stuff is too weak to run your tach---search the archives here for a post i put up a few months ago
you will need to add an MSD transformer to the output

Call Fred at Electromotive and he will give you the part #.

There is a signal coming from the Electromotive tach output. I notice there is an interim module (Electronic speed switch for electrovalve, item 128). Does module 128 expect a voltage spike as one would expect from an opening coil? Or is other circuitry required?

I expect this problem has been solved a number of times. Please advise. Thanks.
