Dave,
I drove the Maserati with the F1 shifting and had the same question. I was told to treat it like a normal clutch. Would you stay in gear and hold in the clutch for 45 seconds or put the car in nuetral with a standard stick shift?

A quick stop of a few seconds maybe, but use nuetral for delayed stops is what the dealer told me. Downshift to a stop? I don't know, but brake pads are cheaper than clutches. I do a little of both at stops.

How does the auto mode work on the F1 system? Does it go into N smoothly or is it fairly jerky?

Will this save the clutch at all to pull back on both paddles into N or shoud I stay in first for a standard 45 second red stop light? Is shifting to N good for the car or just jacking off?
