Hello Jeff.
Thank you very much by your supply.
I like to know the things thoroughly. The rev counter is compound of components, those components are standar.
The orijinal "oil cork" ferrari is identical to the oil cork of seat 600.

According to a previous post from Alfredo in the European section the only thing you need to do is to cut a small part of the board of the Alfa rev counter to make it fit inside the Ferrari casing. By doing that a small track of the electronic board will be cut. That track needs to bridged by soldering a small cable just like it is in the Ferrari board.

However, he also mentions that he finally did not need to replace the Ferrari board, as the problem was that that small cable used to bridge the cut track was pealed and it was making gnd contact with a screw of the casing, and that was what was causing his rev counter not to go higher than 3000 rpm.

Hello Jeff,

first of all thank you for the info, and thanks for the great service that you guys at Ferrari UK provide to all of us.

however I want to thank Alfredo for the info on the rev counter. Although this might not be the case with the tacometer, as IMHO it is not that expensive, some other Ferrari parts are rdicuslosly expensive for some of us, in my opinion without a real reason for them to be that expensive.

Some of Fchat members are Ferrari enthusists that have to make important efforts in their economy to adquire and mantain our vehicles. So cretive solutions like the one posted by Alfredo is really interesting to us. Of course I would love to always use original parts in my car, however not always I can afford it.

Therefore it is very interesting to know that the internals of the rev counter of An Alfa 75 are 95% the same than those in the 328. At some point it will be very useful, as the Alfa 75, was a mass produced car and it will be relatively easy to find that part.

Of course this only applies to parts that are common to some other cars, the parts custom designed for Ferrari are a different matter.

I wish some other car from the 80's were using a CAT Control Unit like the one in the 328 US version. That very simple electronic circuit is quoted in the thousasnds of Euros. If other mass produced car were using a similar unit I might be able to replace it with a reasonable cost.

Just a thought.

The components of 328 rev counter, they are equal of Alfa Romeo 75 rev counter.
Single it is necessary to adapt it to the space of the housing redonde of the 328. (you excuse my failures for writing)

Greetings.
