Hi Henry: I can understand that the lines must be in their exact position. So I would have to plumb to all the injectors and stuff first, then as a last step insert the new gaskets and tighten down the bolts. I can't imagine the gaskets are very expensive...ooops...did I just say something stupid? I'll have to give this some more thought I guess before doing anything more. But it sure would make the detailing process a whole lot easier. I'll keep you posted.

Jeff: I thought of doing that myself. Everyone I asked stated that new gaskets are a MUST. These are supposedly very soft gaskets, and will conform/compress to the fitting at hand, in the EXACT position of the parts. Removing this 'exact' position necessitates a new gasket.

I have decided against this.......I would be adding 12 more potential leaks......and gasoline, on top of it. This is one item I will leave alone.

Doing the major on the TR exposses one to so many potential leaks all ready.....as you know. Why add more?

Besides, anyone looking at your engine will be SOOOOOO impressed with the intakes, that they won't even notice the FDs. hahaha
Good luck!

As I'm detailing the fuel system of my TR, I have cleaned everything as good as I can. I'm debating on removing the fuel lines from the fuel distributors, so I can simply do a good thorough job. I'm worried that if I disturb these lines and seals, that upon re-assembly I will have problems or leaks.

Can anyone elaborate on what to expect? I would like to simply buy new lines but they cost WAY TOO MUCH for me at this time. Will I need to get new sealing washers if I pop the lines?
