I put Sat radio in the TR a year plus ago. I used an FM modulator type, but an integrated one would be great if you are changing the head unit. I also used the mouse style antenna that is wired through the glove box and just sits on the dash. If needed I just throw it in the glove box. Reception is great and no mark on the dash or car.

George, suggest you post new thread asking for "Best Radio installer in (city) needed". I think you will get your answer. Good luck. Jim

Try Nakamichi - very subtle, excellent sound.

I have a sat receiver in my 512TR. The antenna is hidden under the dash so there is no evidence.

I hardly ever listen to it but it works great. I much prefer the hard pounding sounds of the Boss on songs like Born to Run or Thunder Road.

Thanks Jim, Problem is WHO can put one in without wrecking the car!. I do all our work on our collection but I have ALL the information and service publications for all the cars. I do not have that for the new "RED HEAD" on the block. We have SAT in the Rolls and Porsche along with CD. Putting those in was a piece of cake since I had all the information. Again thanks for your input.

I haved only briefly looked at Sat radios, but I think all the sat stations are 'canned' music except maybe one, so it will be like airplane music. Be sure and get a CD player.

I just purchased a 1988 TR and the radio is junk, I want to put in a XM Sat radio. Any problems? Looking at an Alpine with the GPS and all that stuff.
Any Feedback?
