Butterfly gap to 0.003"
Audible click from switch when throttle touched. This simply triggers the timing to retard on/off from 5 deg at idle.
It's just a switch by the way, not a potentiometer....at least for UK cars this is correct. Not sure of other country specs.

Remove the idle bypass air screw and clean it thoroughly too.

Hi guys,
Has anyone got the procedure for setting the TPS and butterfly gapping as the original settings of my car had been tampered with when I got the car,and as a result runs rough and rich.will appreciate the information as it is not mentioned in the workshop manual as well.my car is a 1987 328 gts.
