By the way, You Mondial looks awsome with the 355 wheels! Do they touch anywhere?

Yes - I believe the t and 3.2 basically share suspensions and wheels.
Should look great.

I use the 348 wheels on my Mondial T for track tires. I had wanted 355 wheels but the 348s were much cheaper on Ebay. The wheel hub is thicker so you will need longer wheel bolts. I also use 15mm spacers in the rear. I had wanted 355 wheels but the 348 wheels on Ebay were much cheaper.

Have not installed but have seen amny examples...you will need to get spacers for the rears I believe but a search through the archives should help you there.

As for ride, I would expect it to be much stiffer unless you reset the springs. Essentially, you are removing a good portion of the sidewall as well as placing larger rims thus your spring rate and impact area are increased.

I would like to upgrade my 1990 Cabrio Mondial T wheels to 348 or even possibly 355 wheels.

1) Will 17" 348 or 18" 355 wheels work?
2) The car is a Cabrio, will the ride become too stiff for the car? Most convertibles use higher profile tires since the provide a softer ride!

Has any member installed these wheels on their Mondial T. Thanks
