I have determined through other's experience that simply oil is what to use on the o-rings. So that's what I'll do. Thanks for replying to my request. |

I would not use Silicone lube on a vehicle with an O2 sensor--silicone tends to ruin the sensors. |

I'm no mechanic, but when I did this on my Rabbit, back in college, I just gave the o-ring a shot of silicone lube spray, before installing; slid on real nice. But I have no idea if that was correct or not, but it seemed perfectly logical to a 21 yo at the time.. :-) |

I'm finally getting to the point of installing my new injectors. The intakes have both the injector and the insert removed, so I could refinish them. Is there a preferred or "best" way to re-install the inserts and injectors? Do I simply install the inserts dry? I've heard to use fuel as the lubricant for installing the o-rings onto the injectors, is this correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
