It may be the same material, but these are two strips inserted in two cavities each about 6-8 inches wide and about 18 inches long..right above the manifolds in the back compartment of a Boxer. I wonder if that stuff will work there? I was hoping a Boxer owner may have had that experience. Thanks Doc. I will look into that stuff at Home Depot. |

It is the same stuff you stuff around a window a/c. Yoy can get it at Home Depot. Get a tube of 3M adhesive and razor blade. Simple, easy and cheap. I did my car last spring.

The engine compartment hood has two areas covered with some type of foam...mine has aged poorly and is crumbling (from the heat and age, I suppose). What is this material and where do you get it from? Any help would be appreciated.. |
