One thing for sure... The stock unit sucks! I just removed mine and replaced it with and Alpine 9807 head unit and 6 disk changer. The JL Audio amp, JL 6" door replacement speakers and the little 6.5" JL Audio sub in a matching carpeted box behind the seat sound HOT. The installation all looks like it came with the car but sounds absolutely fantastic...even at speed with the top down! I will have to see how it all sounds after the Capristo exhaust is on in a few weeks. Russ |

stock the 360 comes with a Becker head unit - removel key and instructions are in the HiFi manual "The keys are about 1/4" wide, quite thin, at least 3" long, and shaped like a knife blade. Pushing them in squeezes in tabs on either side of the unit, which unlocks it. What makes them special are the small notches which allow you to pull the unit out using the keys." Porsche and some Mercedes have same unit - see some online help: http://boxsters.addr.com/hacks/volume_control.htm

How hard is it to remove the stereo on the 360? I'm assuming I just need to remove the allen key screws and the rest should be easy? Prefer not to get the stereo guys to do it as I just know they will damage it! Ferrari dealers miles away to get something so small sorted if i can do it myself. |
