The Evans coolant I bought was their new NPG+ which is not as thick as the original NPG (which they still sell for heavy duty diesels) and is supposed to be a direct replacement for normal anti-freeze mix with no cooling system mods as were sometimes required with the original stuff.

I have used the coolant in a couple of cars.
A 91' Miata that we did cams, header, ecu, susp,
brakes ect. for a drivers school car. The owner of
the car travels the world doing paint less dent repair, pdr, anyway he left the fluid in for 10 years. He time trialed the Miata the first few years and then drove it on the street I would guess 1,000 miles a year. When he finally brought the car in we drained the fluid, it looked dark but there was no corrosion, flakes or streamers of foreign matter.
We put new Evans coolant back in. The car had never had hoses or a pump. The other car was a 16V
Scirroco. It was a dedicated Improved Touring race car.
His fastest lap was always lap 2. As his coolant got hot his times would slow down. So I changed the system to Evans, it was called Mecca Coolant back then. His lap times after that were consistent for the race, traffic allowing. No long term results here as the car ended up in wad on the back straight at Heartland Park, he was ok.
It is a different viscosity than standard coolant mix. It really favors slower water pumps and large core radiators. Water is a contaminant and
if any is in the system when you change over it comes out with almost explosive force in hot bursts. This could potentially damage something.

Does anyone have any relatively long term experience with Evans coolant. If so, any downside or gripes with the product. I bought some but don't know if I want it in my 246 until I get some feedback from other users.
