You do need to take the dash apart. The speedo is held (I use that term loosely) by a U bracket. The side-ends of the U-bracket is placed against the backside of the dash panel, and the bottom-part of the U-bracket it screwed into the back of the speedo with knurled thumbwheels.

Finally did a time trial with my GT4 on Friday. During one of the runs, I noticed my speedo had turned slightly. Upon further examination, it is definately loose, and if it werent for the speedo cables, I could probably turn it round and round. How are these things attached? Do I need to take apart the dash (I hope not- It looks like there may be some access from below,)? I am hoping that it is just a screw that holds it in place that came loose. Dom |
