James, Mid Western Auto Group (Ferrari Dealership) sells the OEM Ferrari Oil Filter for the 348 for 14.00. For future reference, their number is 614 889 2571. I have found most of their parts very reasonably priced. |

James -- It is too hard. As far as I'm aware, no one has ever posted/found Baldwin alternatives for anything F other than the "older V8" UFI oil filter (i.e., Baldwin B253 = new UFI PN 23-162-01 or old UFI PN 23-162-00 or new F PN 191993 or old F PN 111782). You could try sending a stock 348 oil filter to Baldwin for them to match up (if they, and you, wanted to invest the effort). |

I think that DEMANDING anything on this chat room is a bit rude in my opinion. Nobody owes anybody anything around here. Apparently nobody has the answer to your question, or they don't care to respond. Perhaps it's just the way you ask. In either case, you can attract more bees with honey, than you can with vinegar.(as told to me by my Grandfather)

James, Sorry so say, I don't know the Baldwin number for your car. Perhaps, try posting your question on www.ferrari-talk. com? Seems to be a fair amount of technical knowledge there... Regards, David |

I need some help. i am always amazed that a thread about the chemical composition of wheels can go on for 179 posts and three months, but some of the more simple questions elude us. i have a post here about the corrct part number for a Baldwin oil filter for my 348. this question must be too hard. apparently, no one here knows the answer to this most technical question. i have talked to the tech folks at Baldwin, and they do not have an application for my car (a 90 TS). they have asked me for a number from another manufacturer, and the only number that i can verify is the correct number comes from Sodacom's' site, which Baldwin cannot translate. So, does anyone here have a baldwin oil filter in their 348? does anyone have a Fram/AC/Whatever part number i can give to Baldwin? or.....can someone tell me the chemical composition, the results of the slump test, and the electrical impedence of the rubber seal?
