You can actually fry your alternator if the battery is not properly connected |

it can happen, and could also indicate an alt issue, make sure neg cable to battery is tighten down |

My 328 was running fine, I hit a pot hole and the brake lights flashed, car sputtered, then shut down and would not restart. I checked the battery and one of the ground wires had jostled free. I thought a car, once running, would continue to run even if the battery was disconected. Would a disconection of a battery cable cause a 328 to shut down?? thanks, Lee Anderson |
