Thank you for the responses. If anyone else has a suggestion or experience, please let me know.

Leonardo, is Auto Elite the place near the Plaza Diner in Ft. Lee, right before the entrance to the toll? I have driven by many times.

Try Vinny at Auto Elite in Ft. Lee, NJ. 201-947-2371. He used to be the service manager at WWoC, now travels with the Ferrari of Long Island Challenge team.

Did the major on my 328 back in Feb. Very knowledgable and does the work in less time than the "dealer specified" hours, which translates into savings for you.

Hi,

In Gaylordsville, CT there is Bill Pollard of Sportauto (860)350-1515 and in New Milford (right down the road from Gaylordsville) there is Auto Turismo Sport Ltd (Steve Mastroianni (860)350-2128, www.autoturismosport.com). Both excellent to talk with and deal with. Good Luck!

How about MA...

GREAT service and these guys really know their stuff. They are true racers too, not simple wrench monkeys and money takers. Did an amazing job on the 60k major + extra work.

Enjoy the Drive,

I am looking for an independent F-car mechanic in the NY,NJ,CT area. I don't mind traveling for someone who does good work. The bodywork on my 308 is coming along nicely, but I need to start planning for the mechanical work she will need. The car has been sitting for quite some time, so it will need a service. I need to start looking around, so when the car comes out of the bodyshop I can take it right to the mechanic.

Anybody I should stay clear of? The names of any guys that you have worked with and had a good experience with would be greatly appreciated.
