Great FCA NE event yesterday in Windsor Locks, CT at Kart Trak, followed by a very nice lunch in Hartford (then a thorough car washing upon my return home to RI, to wash off the residue from the unavoidable puddles). I drove my 308 QV an enjoyable 165 miles in the beautiful weather. Points noted: A/C output was cool, not cold; a cup or so of coolant belched out of my 13 PSI (0.9 BAR) coolant resevoir cap immediately after I turned off the engine the first time during the day -- I am switching to a 16 PSI cap (1.1 BAR) since the coolant level was initially set per the manual. CT State Police Activity: Was checked out and waved to by a trooper on a motorcycle that pulled up alongside and was admiring the car along Rt. 3; A trooper in a brown marked car drove up behind me on Rt. 2 where I was driving maybe as much as 5 miles over the 65 MPH limit, and I pulled over to the right lane to allow him to pass since he was driving much faster than me, as he passed alongside he announced over the PA that "the speed limit is 65". I waved back to both troopers. Kind Regards, Chris |

Anyone going to Windsor Locks, CT tomorrow? FCA NE is having a go-cart event there at 11 AM. The weather seems reasonable...but there will be puddles. Kind Regards, Chris |

Great pictures of the last get-together, thanks for the link. Getting together sounds great. I'm also a greek -- we have relatives in Haverhill. I will need to get more confidence in my '84 QV before I drive it that far from NW RI. Fortunately, I also have a bright yellow S2000 roadster... Kind Regards, Chris |

MIGHT have a huge Ferrari Chat BBQ at my place in the spring. The driving roads here are AMAZING as is the rural scenery. Enjoy The Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Thanks for the nice welcome guys! I put a picture of the car on my profile, but I have not found the showroom yet. Once this snow goes away I am looking forward to driving someplace other than my driveway! Please post any get-togethers planned in the area. Kind Regards, Chris PS: Theo, are you in Haverhill? |

I'm Chris, from NW RI. I just picked up an '84 308 QV and am looking to get together with other similar Ferrari owners in this general locale -- to swap experiences and help each other with Ferrari mechanical/electrical work and troubleshooting. I am carefully going over this car and getting it ready for Spring. Any interest -- any similar cars in the area? Kind Regards, Chris |
