"croci" the (assumed by a dork who took four or five years of latin) plural of "crocus", the pretty purple (et. al.), early-blooming flower that is a harbinger of spring! the original message is dated late february. though this year the croci stayed well away until much later than usual in boston.

That's the right attitude! We're almost into March and we're bound to have some nicer days. Last Friday, the temp was in the low 50's. I took the 328 for a ride with the top and windows down (I had the heat on). Haven't done that for months!

definitely glad i took her out of storage. the highways are not in bad shape at all. you have to be careful on the back roads for the potholes, and there's plenty of sand to activate the ASR system when merging onto major roads, but otherwise totally no problemo. as long as i keep from running over and backing into snow (well, mostly "ice" now) banks!

Not really, its just a car. I'd rather drive it and get dirty than watching it sit in my garage for 6 months. Anyway, I spoke to my Ferrari mechanic (IFS in S. Easton, MA) and he told me to drive it and enjoy it. So I am!

A few times a month I use a spray bottle with water and wipe off all the dirt and salt, inlcuding the wheels. It's not the same as washing it, of course, but it looks clean. I'll have to wax it as soon as the weather gets warmer.

Do you worry about salt at all? In my area there have been many dry days but the amount of salt on the road(it seems far beyond normal this year)is just ludicrous. Do you wash the car during the winter?

Life is too short Doody!!! Don't sweat it, most of the time the weather isn't that bad that you can't take the fcars out and worry about them every second you're driving them. I drive my 328 once a week pretty faithfully and 95% of the time the weather (albeit cold) was sunny and dry. In fact most of my best "runs" were during the last month.

Or and one more thing, if something does happen to the 550, you still have one left (just kidding!!!)

You're an inspiration to us all and braver than most. I guess I just don't have that kind of faith in Mother Nature.

I can't take it anymore. The 550 comes out of storage on Wednesday. Life is too short.

Let's see if Mother Nature cooperates for the last few weeks of winter ;-)

Wish me luck!

Doody!
