Please stay in touch my friend and maybe you can make my Ferrari party in July. Not sure of the day yet tho. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Steve. Great meeting you as well. I guess the Alfa guys are going to have to work harder towards getting their own members to the event. Although the one Alfa club member I know brought his Ferrari too. Will we see you in Hartford? Tom |

Tom, It was GREAT seeing you and that LOVELY car at the show! BTW, one of my g-friends was by the white tent and overheard the Alfa guy mumbling "too many Ferrari's, they are taking over this place". It was great chatting with so many enthuasiasts :-) Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin |

Darn, I didn't spot the Milford Ital. Car Day till tonight. I've made plans to have my 2 sons erect my COVER-IT, & then watch the Montreal F1. Ah, well, The COVER-IT will be winter storage for my 308, so it needs to get done. |

does anybody know this Ocean State Exotic Cars outfit? i've never heard of them and can't find any reference to them online, save their incorporation data on the RI state servers (08/19/02). they seem to occupy a space that was formerly an Oldsmobile dealer. doody. |

Ferrari Club of America - New England Region 1. What are you doing this weekend? 2. Hartford Concorso Ferrari weekend!!!!!!!! 3. Hotel update for the Vermont Ferrari Street Festival ============================================== WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND? Those of us that attended the Tutto Italiano event at the Museum of Transportation had a great time, despite the downpours. Ferrari of New England provided a covered tent where we gorged ourselves on food from Art and kept ourselves dry. Kudos to Neal and Susan Heffron and Christian and Anna Scott, chairs of the event, for organizing what turned out to be a great time. Louis Scafuri brought the Enzo Ferrari -- very interesting to see it on the floor of the Museum, particularly if one was perched up in the rafters looking down. Thanks also to the hard-working judges who examined the entries under the tent. If you missed the event, and if you're not one of the tens of thousands descending upon Montreal for the Grand Prix du Canada this weekend, there are TWO car shows that you'll want to consider attending. First, on Saturday, June 14, there is the 1st Annual Best of Exotics Car, 99 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI -- less than an hour from Boston and less than a mile from I-95. This show is sponsored by Ocean State Exotic Autos and benefits HASBRO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. Registration is open to all Porsches, BMWs, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Corvettes, and begins at 8am, awards at 3:30pm, registration fee of $25, includes lunch. The show runs from 9am-4pm with public admission at $5 per adult, children under 12 free. More info, call Anthony DelFarno, 401-463-3383 or [email protected] Second, on the very next day, Father's day, there is the Second Annual Italian Car Show at the High Hopes Hot Air Balloon Festival in Milford, New Hampshire (just outside of Nashua), sponsored by the Alfa Owners of New England. "Owners of all makes, models, and years of Italian automobiles are invited to participate. This festival is an annual weekend-long event that features: morning and evening hot air balloon flights, Pony rides, Food concessions, Live entertainment, Raffles, Crafts & novelties, Hay rides, A giant slide, Balloon rides, Helicopter rides, Face painting, Sky divers and more! The High Hopes Foundation is a New Hampshire volunteer organization that provides special wishes for critically ill and terminal children. It will be a display-only show no judging just show up and look pretty. Your entry fee is really a donation toward the High Hopes efforts the fee is $15 per car, but we ask you to consider donating more if its within your means. Itll be a terrific day and its for a terrific cause." For more information about High Hopes Foundation and the Festival, call 800-639-6804 or visit http://www.italiancarshow.org/. For questions about the Car Show, contact AONE's Peter Walker at 978-524-8102 or at [email protected] You can register at the site above with your credit card up to Saturday, or show up and register at the gate - but the first 100 registrants will receive dash plaques and perhaps some other goodies. "Plan an outing in New Hampshire in your beautiful macchina for Fathers Day! After all, its your day!" ============================================== HARTFORD CONCORSO FERRARI WEEKEND!!!! Just one week later, on the weekend of June 21-22 is our region's premier Ferrari event, what promises to be the largest gathering of Ferraris in New England, the Hartford Concorso Ferrari! This fabulous show benefits the Connecticut Children's Hospital. Those of you who've attended either or both of the first two, you know how great the food is, the champagne, the comraderie, and most of all, the kids. Those of you who haven't you have no excuse -- come and see everything, from the line-up of modern Ferrari supercars to historic race cars to national concours winners. As part of the weekend, there is also a picnic to benefit the Village for Families and Children, as well as a cocktail party and dinner out. The weekend fun starts on Saturday, June 21, with the Village for Family & Children picnic in Hartford, CT. We'll entertain children and hand out presents, raising money for a great cause. Please call Pete or Rosemary Lombardo at (860) 646-5454 or [email protected], or Dave or Fiona Friar at (860) 678-1291 or [email protected]. Later that evening, there will be a cocktail party for all registrants for the Concorso at the house of Dave "gets all the credit" and Fiona "does all the work" Friar in West Hartford, followed by a nice dinner out. So come on down on Saturday; there are discounted hotel rooms at the Goodwin Hotel available too (see below). On Sunday, we'll have the 3rd Annual Hartford Concorso Ferrari, running 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with registration starting at 9:30 a.m.. http://www.fca-newengland.org/2003concorso.html. Come see the new Enzo Ferrari, with an F50, an F40 and a 288GTO, as well as dozens of modern and historic touring and racing cars. Truly spectacular gourmet food, champagne, a parade for children patients, and lots of surprises.
