Looking through the photos reminded me of the couple that were in the TT convertible from the Texaco station. Originally I assumed they were with the group, but since they didn't show at the 'shack-and-a-half', I guess they were just admirers? |

Just wanted to agree with everyone's comments on the drive on Sunday. Thank you to Peter for putting in the effort to get all of us together. It was great meeting everyone. I hope we can do it again soon. Unfortunately, the camera that I brought was not digital, and I am notorious for taking FOREVER to get film developed, so look for my photos of this event in 6-8 months... Bill - that would be my blue 328. I'm guessing that it was Friday night that you saw me in Misquammicut. I had just gotten the car a couple of weeks earlier and was taking a friend for a ride. Sorry if I didn't notice you jumping up and down. At that point I was still getting used to driving the car. TWS |

Great photos. Everyone always excuses me of having the cell phone glued to me ear and they are proven right by your photo Doody. I am glad everything worked out with the weather and we had such a good turn out. It was great to meet everyone and hopefully we can continue to get togather for drives. I know it brought a smile to my face and I am sure to all the onlookers who saw us passing by. Thanks to everyone for making it such a good day. Lets do it againg soon. Peter |

Peter, MANY THANKS for organizing this fun event! Cindy & I had a great time seeing the 'cottage' (as they call them in Newport,RI). One of the highlights came when I was sitting at Rt6's exit 5 waiting for the caravan to arrive. I was thinking it was getting close for them to show up, when I heard the unmistakeable song of a large # of Ferraris, first at full speed, then down-shifting as they slowed for the ramp, then accelerating up the ramp. Meanwhile I was jumping back into the car & starting it. The caravan came past and someone was nice enough to slow to let me pull my 308 into the middle. Then I realized that there were about as many Ferraris behind me as there were ahead of me! Oh, yes, back behind everyone (where they belong-heheheh) was the 911. Next best was driving thru the Wiano club. I think we totally distracted every golfer there. 9 Ferraris winding their way thru the quiet back-roads of Osterville made a wonderful sound as the exhausts beat against each other, and echoed off of the houses! It wasn't objectionably loud, just distinctive! Another neat thing, we'd come to an intersection & someone would point the lead car to a friend as it came past. Obviously 'Look at that, a Ferrari'. The friend would then point out that it wasn't just one! Peter put on a nice spread of snacks at the cottage. Whenwhen we'd poked into every nook & cranny, including the utility closet, we adjourned to Wimpys (not the franchise!) a nice local pub for lunch. All in all a fun event. THANKS PETER FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN! |

we had nine f-cars in total at the peak of the festivities yesterday. 1. Mondial86's red mondial cabriolet 2. Mr. Doody's black 550 3. Peter_B's yellow 355 GTS 4. Spivy's red 360, with son - outfitted with a splasy Rubens Barichello shirt no less 5. Theo's red 328 GTS 6. TWS's blue 328 GTS up from CT, along with his lovely wife Heather (my apologies if I got her name wrong!!) 7. Verell's red 308 GTS, along with his better half, whose name I did not catch - my apologies! 8. Zan's silver 355 Spider, along with his lovely wife Cathy. 9. a silver 360 Spider driven by a gentleman by the name of Lou (?) who showed up at the house for a short while. and finally, not to be forgotten, Lomotpk was on hand with his mongrel red 911 turbo (when he explains it to you, think of that old Johnny Cash song about him building a Cadillac...); and a friend of Peter's by the name of Joe who joined us in his dark blue Boxster. here's a composited pic from the house:

Hey Guys, Man, I'm bummed that I couldn't make it! I took my Fcar to Boston Sports Car on Tuesday for a tune up and a carb tweak, expecting the car back by Thursday. They called to tell me that I shouldn't drive it because the clutch is too far gone. Now it's going to be stuck there for another week getting a clutch and a new flywheel before they can even start the tune up. I really hope to meet you all at another event in the not-too-distant future. I hope everyone had a great time! Best, Jonathan |

first off, many thanks to peter_b for putting this little shindig together. peter was an immensely gracious host and everybody seemed to have a stellar time on the drive down, hanging at the shack (okay, shack-and-a-half), and at lunch. thanks peter! i have a bunch of pictures, but am pooped from the drive home to futz through them. here are two quickies. the first is our illustrious organizer trying to close escrow on his new gulfstream:
the second is a shot of all the cars at the shack (with apologies to TWS, whose car is hidden in front of the mondial.
thanks everyone! doody!
