A real tech session would be great. Perhaps concentrating on what owners can do for themselves, etc. |

they're not fixing anything then and there. they'll tell you what problems they see, and point them out to you, but it's not really a "fix" session, just a "check" session. they do each car in like 10 minutes or so. they have a lot of cars to get through, and the logistics are a PITA for them (as best i can tell) since the cars have to be brought up from the lot behind and below the garage, etc. etc. they'll answer questions, for sure, but it's not a lengthy 1-on-1 session. there might be a few other people crowded around your car as the tech pokes around; asking questions as well. doody. |

If they find something when your car is up, will they fix it right then and there or would you need to schedule something? Also, how friendly are they in terms of owners asking questions? (I really do not know anything about engines and would like to see first hand how a Ferrari Engine works). I would be interested in a true "tech session". Theo |

Doody is mostly right, though it must be said that he drove a newer car to the last one. I suspect they spend more time looking at older models. If people are interested in a true "tech session" where they do a bit of a class and answer questions, let me know. If we have sufficient interest, we can arrange something - either at FoNE or at one of the independent shops. vty, --Dennis

theo - it's a very cursory once-over. they put your car up on the lift and one of the guys goes through the engine compartment and anything else that is visible. they don't generally bring any tools to the process besides a flashlight. from what i could tell, they're mostly doing a quick listen; and then looking for leaking fluids of various sorts. doody. |

Dennis, Regarding the 28th at FoNE, what's involved in the tech session? Does is involve someone at FoNE looking over your car or is it kind of like a class? |
