I think you're right. I deleted the DLLHOST.EXE process and my performance came back. I haven't noticed any side effects since. I'll run what it recomends to get rid of it. I just did a complete virus scan last week and it didn't find anything. Must of come aboard since.

Well, my damn expensive laptop has been running really slow lately and I can't track it down.

1) I've rebooted it with no improvements.

2) I need to defrag, but I don't think that's it as the performance got sluggish almost overnight.

3) In the Windows Task Manager the DLLHOST.EXE is taking up 95% of my CPU. Is that normal? My Performance is also showing at 99%, I don't think that is normal.

4) Also seems like my laptop idles quite a bit. Even when I'm on the internet or emailing it will constantly beep on and off every minute or so.
