The 1997-1998 Dash uses a textured Grey color for a two tone look versus the smooth flat black look. The seats become a newer more sporty and stylish 1 peice design vs the older more traditional 2 peice (head rest and seat back) design. Handling is pretty similar amongst the two. Shock valving is a little differnet between the two.

I'm actually in the market for a Supra TT at the moment. I'd also like it to have the black on black color scheme with 6 speed transmission, such as the one you're advertising.

Unfortunately, as I live in Australia, it would have to be a RHD car. I'm getting the feeling it might be almost impossible to find one with the specs I want...

Kal, you said there are quite a few differences between the earlier model (93' - 96' ?) and the 97' Supras... How exactly are the dash and seats different? Also, is there any significant difference in handling?

Thanks.

I was in the red Mondial cab with 3 passengers. If I had the 512 I would probably have been right with you. It looks like it is scheduled to arrive this weekend. BTW that was a Testarossa, not a 512. He had just gotten it and this was his first drive. I forgot his name but I hope he brings it out some more.

That was some luck that you guys had powered down by the time we passed him. I could see him trying to get us all.

Ron I was chasing after the lambo. That run sure was fun by the way. Good thing the chipy was about 1/4 mile away from that hill or we would have all been toast! Beautiful 512 by the way. Was that your 512 on the drive or were you driving the Mondial?

Kal, I've seen your car (and been passed by it just before that crazy run up the hill on 246 prior to the CHP) I just had no idea that they were worth so much.

Hey Ron ~40K is the going rate for 97/98 cars in the ultra low milage range. Simple matter of supply and demand along with resale and depreciation rates for this car (which are probably the best of any car out there). Its much easier to find a clean low milage Modena or 996TT then a clean low milage Supra TT which is what keeps the relative value higher. That is why these cars have actually appreciated in value. And Scot everything is relative. You may say its just a "Supra" but to some "Supra" means sick speed much more then "Modena" or "Testarosa." I know quite a few exotic car owners that can't live without having at least one in their garage arsenal thanks to their tremendous bang for the buck performace and tremendous lack of depreciation.

I checked his link. The car is really hot, but I'm amazed at the price.

From folks I've spoken with, Supra's of this vintage can be modified to produce insane horsepower with killer handling. At the end of the day, you are still driving a Supra but if I needed a rice rocket to top most other rice rockets, this would be a good choice.

This is the best Supra on the used market today and probably one of the best examples of a Supra anybody can buy in North America. Figured maybe one of you guys might want it as a smooth, quiet lexus reliable 470 horsepower daily driver or if you have room in the garage add it to your P-car/F-car collection as they only made a small number of Turbo Supra's in 97/98 and this one is production number 40. It has 21K original miles and is in immaculately perfect condition. This is a very hard/near impossible car to find in this milage and condition. You can drive this car for a couple of years and if you keep the milage under 50 you'll still be able to get 90% of what you paid for it making it a cheap toy on the long run. Supra is one of the few cars that has completely frozen in depreciation due to its high demand on the used car market but lack of clean low milage late model ones to supply it.

Sorry if I ruffled any feathers posting this in the general section but there was no sale/parts section on the forum (Might be a consideration).

Thanks guys!
Kal
