Kid Enzoz, thanks for correction. I am embarrassed..... Until now, I didn't realize there was "s" there, but since no one fixed me before. I maybe spelled it correctly in the past??? (optimistic view) I do agree NSX would be better choice for everyday drive, but since Chris has many cars which can be used for daily drive (after viewing profile), I though he maybe looking for additional correction, I mean collection. So many cars I want, so little(?) money....... |

Chris, as I told you in person, go with the NSX if you plan on driving it everyday as a primary, or even as a pleasent weather secondary...Jalpa if its your "auxilary non-essential driver." hehe. I love making up terms for cars. |

The reason I asked the question was I am not sure how people see "exotic". When I was driving 911 Carrera, I was told Porche is exotic cars, but I see Porche every day around here. So are NSX. However, just becuase I see them often doesn't mean they are not exotic, right? Chris, either choice you make, I know you will do some homework before your purchase. Good luck to you! & enjoy your process. That's fun part of buying cars. |

Even NSX-ers on other boards refer to them as 'near-exotics.' Until I moved to the states I think I only ever saw one of them, so they certainly were exotic for me! (I'm from Canada, where the socialist system keeps anyone from getting too rich, or buying near the amount of luxuries middle class Americans can afford... and if the gov't doesn't get your money the freakin snow and salt will get your car...). |

When it first came out, the NSX was definitely exotic - in design if not in price or perception. Some examples: extensive use of aluminum, titanium con rods, the use of finite element analysis to maximize rigidity and minimize weight, etc., etc.

Yoshi, thats crazy that you ask that question! I just asked my friend if the NSX was considered an exotic the other day! I'm still not too sure. Rikky, it's an Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale. If you want, here's a thread from a while back... http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/364/288994.html Kid_Enzoz, OF COURSE! It's the favorite name i've ever been called! C |

Pardon the ignorance, but what is the car in your profile?

Since you have many cars already, ask yourself for the motive of next addition. NSX is surely nice car, but Jalpa is more rare car. Personally I would buy Jalpa so I can move onto Gallardo next, and establish little connection with Lambo dealer. (assuming you are buying from Lambo dealer) Chris, do you think NSX will hold a value as exotic car? I have no idea on this, and curious how others see NSX as exotic. Some said it's after all Honda, but I think Honda can produce exotic. Toyota made 2000GT (see it as a Bond car in 007 You Only Live Twice) So why not Honda? Sorry to mumble too much.

I would recomend driving each car before you decide... They are very different, the NSX more modern, and the Jalpa more like driving a 328 |

I would get into the NSX, simply because u can live it, although I can't really speak for the Lambo. BTW, I like how you've kept ur title as Mr. Fancy Shmancy Supercar Guy. |

Chris, Don't know much about the Jalpa but I've owned an NSX and it's an extremely well engineered sports car. If I were to get another one, I'd get the coupe for the added rigidity and one of the earlier models with the flip up headlamps for the aesthetics. Manual 6 speed, of course. The good news and the bad news about the NSX is that you don't have to be an enthusiast to drive it well! (btw, that's a gorgeous profile pic! )
