"These cars can be HIDEOUSLY expensive to repair....the service prices make Ferrari's seem like Kia's." True to that, I had a 1990 Turbo R at my old shop that was rear ended. Cost of repairs was about $15,000. It really didn't look all that bad. The insurance company did't want to save it due to the milage being around 80,000+ plus the cost of rerplacement parts & labor. I spoke to the Houston dealer about avarage resale on is car in good condition.. $25,000 To $30,000. nuf' said.

It's really hard to say without seeing the car, knowing the mileage and mechanical condition but my gut says probably it's not a deal at all. I have sold two of these vintage of Bentley Turbo's in the last 3 years for $5-10K USD more and they were examples at the upper end of the scale in every respect. These cars can be HIDEOUSLY expensive to repair....the service prices make Ferrari's seem like Kia's. |
