All manufacturer's vary in this regard. Some VOID warranties on cars that are exported UNLESS the original owner is still the actual operator...others do not. There are many different ways that they deal with this and several different caveats that come into play here.

As FerrariChat does not warranty Porsches I would suggest you talk to PCNA in Atlanta. In my past experience (18+ months ago) Porsche covered the cars regardless of who owned them....but things change and I would recommend that you contact PCNA with the VIN of the car you are considering and the facts regarding the situation.

specifically speaking, an '01 996 turbo... is the car covered under the factory warranty? any other issues? the car is registered in the US now, was there a conversion process? TIA.
