303 Aerospace Protectant is the best. It conditions, not just shines, plastic and rubber and contains SPF-40 sunscreen to significantly reduce sun damage. It's "easy to find" at http://www.performanceproducts.com or http://www.properautocare.com. 16oz is 10.95 and 32 oz is 16.76 at Performance Products. Its great for conditioning weather-stripping and door seals. Leatherique "Pristine Clean" is a great cleaner, but it doesn't condition. I think Leatherique makes a proctectant that also has sunscreen, but I haven't tried it. Armorall is mostly silicone (which is why it is greasy and creates a film), 303 doesn't contain any silicone. |

I actually read that you should use ArmorAll on your tires, but diluted 50% with water. You don't want them shiny, just clean and supple. |

VInylex for plastic and vinyl. Not shiny and it really controls the dust. |

I use leatherique on the dash of the Ferrari. I don't use anything on my other cars, I just clean them. |

Guys, All and all, it's obvious here that no one likes ArmorAll, however not many people listed an alternative.......Bruce, for leather care, and the AeroSpace thing is probably a little difficult to get............anyone using anything readily available that doesn't hose up the dash?

ArmorAll on your car is like putting baby oil on your skin and then going out inot the sun. |

I use 303 Aerospace protectant. Good stuff, but a bit pricey. I usually buy a gallon for around $40. I use it on my cars, spa cover, bbq cover, etc. Basically, anything vinyl or plastic. I Do not use it on the tires. For that, I use the Meguiars tire gel. For leather, I've been using the Griot's stuff, but I'll probably try lexol or leatherique next. Dom |

Back in highschool, a kid I knew put it on his Ninja 600 motorcycle seat. Later that day he wound up at the emergency room after attempting a wheelie & slipped off the bike. |

Don't even trust the 'off the shelf' leather care products until you know what is in it. When asking a guy on how to take care of my leather couches he said less is better. No harsh chemicals or soaps. Only natural ingredients and only when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, just a damp cloth. DJ |

I used the armorall wipes on my dads dash once because he asked me too... They were spreading the dirt and sust around, and the dash was brown afterwards, and streaky. |

When I was poor and going to school, I made 'poor mans' Armorall! Mix sugar and water and wipe it on your tires. It looks pretty darn good and ants will love your tires |

My early experiences with Armoral and the experiences of friends is don't use it on ANYTHING! It is a PETROLEUM based product. You might as well pour brake fluid or oil on your interior or tires......unless of course they have changed the basic formula which I have seen no evidence of yet I wouldn't use it. I have seen one product in particular that expressly advertises NO PETROLEUM in it's formula and that is Castrol Tire dressing in the purple spray bottle. Check the ingredients of your products! You won't believe what they put in some of this stuff, looks great until it dries out or wears off then your material is in worse shape than when you started. Lacquer based Connelly products? They should have known better! DJ

I'm not using it on the F Car, but of course I have used it on other cars in the past. I just got a new car, and I'm wondering, does anyone know of another product that works well to clean and shine, but isn't all greasy, yucky, and attract so much dust? ArmorAll is nice, but it's SO GREASY and it just pulls in all this dust....trying to avoid that |
