John, you need to hook up with Byron and the gang and speed though the Canyons with Tubis all around you on Sundays. That will help you get focused for a week. Packing Instructions: Driving Ferraris at Speed can become highly addictive. There is no common cure once addicted. Betty Ford does not have a recovering Ferraristi program yet. |

Remember the song by Donovan, era 1968 or there abouts, the words to one of his songs "Elekatrico Banana, gonna be a sudden craze................they call it mellow yellow,(that's right babe), they call it mello yellow" Yes, the peels were smoked and found to cause medical complications via the emergency ward if too much was smoked. The high wasn't that great from what I heard, just wishful thinking on the experimenters part. DJ Damn! Did I just date myself? Crap! |

quote:Speaking of which, any truth to the myth I've heard a long time ago that smoking dried banana peels are a poor-mans subsititue to pot?
Damn Fino. I've never bothered with such stuff. (My mind is me -- only people who don't like themselves want to leave their mind behind.) But I wonder how long before pot becomes the poor man's alternative to tobacco? |

Try a banana. I used to get bad foot and leg cramps. I finally did some web research on it, and found that mineral deficiencies can cause a shortage of neuro-transmitters. I was surprised that "Centrum" only contains 2% RDA for potassium. I started taking potassium and magnesium supplements, and it not only helped reduce the leg cramps, I also found that it improved my memory, too. (I thought I was just getting old.) I understand that bananas are a good source of these elements (which is why racing bicyclists carry them). Of course, take web "data" with a grain of salt. (Which is a good source of sodium.) |

You are right Jim this drug has been highly abused!! My Doc has said when asked!! that he probaly has written maybe 20 scribts for his 1000 patients. This drug can be highly adittive and be abused in the same way "Coke" is. While I have never been a Hippie and into drugs. Always into my sports, I see this as a possible boost in getting thing's back on track and into focus. As I mentioned I was a Special Ed kid with learning problems as well as emotional...Boo Hoo!! I also do look at some DR. and wonder how they tie their shoes in the morning. I guess it's all in the draw. How many Ferrari owners really realize how fortunate they really are? Most would probally say that they earned it the hard way!! but how much of that high earning potential was really thought of as a true gift from God?? Easy come Easy go...who has the last laugh?? ~Jp~ |

I'm a little curious as to why you'd get Ritalin, I don't think it's usually prescribed to those over 18. My company manages drug benefits and it's a complicated process to get us to cover Ritalin for an adult. It is a designer drug for the college set too, you wouldn't believe the abuses we see. Some kids get downright nasty if we won't approve their refills! |

LOL Thomas! I too bounce all around and have ideas poping into my head all the time (hey, what about using aluminum in our speakers...) but I've turned them into wholely owned ( I want chocolate) subsidiries! (and they wanted to hold me back in kindergarden <man> because I wrote my letter "Os' backwards.) How the do you write an "O" backwards?! The key is to embrace the that makes us all crazy, and make it WORK for us. Einstien was heavily dyslexic. |

the best thing is - no waiting it works right away- but make sure you eat before you pop one- i lost a lot of weight on it- i'm skinny to begin with- eating will also cut down on the jitters don't take it after 5 - especially if your prone to insomnia- will keep you up but its worth a shot- try it our for a week- you don;t like it- go down to the nearest college campus and sell the bottle for a c-note or a bj from a tasty co-ed

the stuff turns you into a machine i used to take it in college- lock myself in my room and come out with a 15 page term paper a few hours later i just felt i was devoid of any personality on it plus you always have to see a doc to get a script as far as kids dying from snorting it- not sure about that- i know it was prevolent on campuses as well i could see it causing some sot of heart failure- like a cocaine overdose- so i wouldn;t doubt it prozac will do the same as far as attention span goes - but takes at least a week to get started and say good bye to your sex life |

John, Let me know how it works for you. I'm seriously considering getting a prescription. I've taken test and stuff and I would put money down that I've got ADD. Concentrating on one thing is HARD for me and I find my mind wandering after a few minutes on one task. As a matter of fact I started writing this and came back to it 20 minutes later |

I've heard that this stuff can really make a diference! in the ability to concentrate, make you have less apathy, less depressed etc etc... In general I was needing a bit of octane boost for my soul, body and mind. Has this stuff helped any of you to much great extent? No, I do not plan on snorting the nor do I plan injecting it. Can a person take this med as prescribed? or is it to addicting? |
