Jim, if you will join the Mickey Mouse Club at your local Disney retail store you get all kinds of discounts on Disney products including park tickets and park hotels.

The Floridian is the best. Try to get a room on the concierge level. You can get to all parks easily and the hotel and services are top notch.

If you are in the military you get your ParkHopper tickets FREE (thru the end of the year) and special discounts for your guests (up to 5). For hotels it is a matter of budget but book thru Expedia for the best deal. If you stay in the Disney Hotels (some), you can take a boat to the Disney parks.

If you have kids go to breakfast with the charactors (if they still have it). I went when I was 14 and loved it. You get to eat breakfast with micky, donald, etc.
