I can *personally* attest to Art's "apprication" for that streatch of Highway 1  (Let's do it again soon! This time at 9/10ths! ;) Definately a fav, though there's much of 1 that's just amazing! Highway 128 either direction out of Healdsburg is awesome too. Best! Ben. | ||

 Deer Creek Canyon Rd, a couple miles past Leo Carrillo State Beach. Follow this through back roads to Mulholland, see above.  Then, buzz the Rock Store. Always nice, see above.  And then your target, Stunt Road, see above. Right near the Rock Store.. However, Stunt Road up and down takes less than half an hour, like a mini canyon run. When combined with other roads like Deer Creek and/or Mulholland, it extends the drive. If you *really* want an exciting scenic canyon paved back road adventure, try this run. But, make sure to take me with you *grin*. So far, has to be one of the best in So Cal until I get bored in San Diego and put something together.   Have fun! Highway 1 from Mill Valley to Marshall. There are places that you'd swear we 50 mph roads, and I've seen 150+ (on a bike in the 70s). Great road. Art | ||

Stunt Road - Los Angeles Co. Newly paved, great track, reward at the top...view of the entire city of LA. The Onion Road - Ventura Co. two perfectly banked sweepers and a five mile straightaway! Onion fields on either side with no intersecting roads. DL | ||

I grew up on one of the best in LA. Any of you driven "Angeles Crest Hwy"? Great fun even in a rice Honda Civic. Up goes the fire rescue every weekend as someone always biffs it. |
